Sherryll – latest photo

Hi everyone.
Thought I’d post a couple of photos of my Globe4.
Yep named ‘Nana’s Nest’, and parked in the snow.
My son Scott was the driver, and yes did manage to need a push after getting stuck.
I thought my Nest looked very classy. As do all the Dethleff Motor homes.

Cheers

Here are a couple of extra items i have made to improve our motorhome that some of you may like to copy and make for yourself,(I have not patented these) so go for it.One is an xtra shelf that clips onto the rear of the seat at the kitchen, the other is a small table that rests on the two armrests to hold your coffee mugs and maybe a sandwich whilst you are seated and admiring the view out front on you lunch stop. Dethleffs German Motorhomes – Top End Luxury Motorhomes being preferred by NZ Buyers

Watch this amazing interview of the Chief Executive of the New Zealand Motorhome and Caravan Association, Bruce Bochore by Paul Henry on 3News. The interview is about the growing Luxury Motorhomes Lifestyle across New Zealand.

The best part being at the end, Bruce mentions about Dethleffs German Motorhomes as the top end luxury motorhome being preferred by New Zealand buyers. 🙂

ROOF CLEANING 270115

Having owned motor homes for over 10 years we have always endeavored to make it better. Dethleffs is no different.

We had a great time at Miranda springs when we all met and were able to swap ideas with one another.

I have owned our Dethleffs Comfort now for 7 months and the vehicle lives in a shed. I noticed when we were washing it that when finished i always had a drain waterline down each side of the roof in the front. When i climbed up i find that when manufactured they put a 2 inch wide strip across the front to help seal the roof and then put mastic across the gap where the water runs off the roof . This leaves about half inch if water on the roof and any dust etc washes down and sits there. Bee pollen is also known to accumulate and cause moss to grow in the dust.. Any van that lives outside will have more dirt stuck to the roof than mine.

I suggest that we all climb up every 6 months and use a good wash and wax on the roof and clean down.Open the vents around the shower and toilet vent and remove any leaves and pine needles that have become stuck there.Wash down the solar panels and also the TV dish. We have to remember we have a warranty on the roof and should check the roof periodically .

I would like DETHLEFFS when manufacturing the motor homes to put a smooth amount of mastic in this gap so as to not hold water .
I hope what i have written can be of help to you as we all wash our vehicles often but do not climb up on the roof.
regards B&B

Testimonial from Pete & Gail Mullooly

Dethleffs Black Magic 2015 TDIBM

We purchased our new motorhome December 2014. After much mileage looking around for the perfect motorhome we discovered the Dethleffs agency. On meeting Jonas we quickly discovered that he was a really genuine and very helpful person. Once we had decided on our choice of model as there wasn’t one on the yard, Jonas took us to view one exactly what we would get, we both fell in love again (With the motorhome i mean). Had everything we wanted, walk around bed, large fridge & freezer and a lovely oven also a large garage compartment for all our extras. We took delivery on Saturday 6th Dec, met Jonas at Matamata and drove the motorhome from there. We are now waiting to depart for South Island in Janurary as we wish to register it as a 2015 model. Much thanks to Jonas and his team for the perfect purchase and his excellent handling of the transaction. We look forward to catching up again at the next gathering at Miranda and meeting all the other Dethleff owners. Thank you Jonas.
